Hotel Description: Vacationland Estates

Located in a year-round vacation destination, the resort offers rustic cedar-log units in a quiet, remote country setting. Being on the top of a hill, the views are beautiful of Mt. Katahdin and the surrounding areas. Each unit has a view of Maine's mountainous countryside. There is an on-site clubhouse with a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, game room, and weight room. Outside the clubhouse, you will find a tennis court, volleyball net, basketball hoop, horseshoe pits, barbecue grills, a picnic area on Pleasant Pond, and a brand new playground. In the winter, a snowmobile trail runs right by the resort. Hike, bike, and mountain climb in Baxter State Park. Vacationland Estates offers guests one and two-bedroom suites, each has a view of the countryside and Mt. Katahdin. Units are tastefully equipped with cable television, VCR, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, telephone, pots and pans, coffee maker, and toaster. 70 Dow Farm Road, Island Falls - From Bangor International Airport: Follow Maine Avenue to Montana Avenue, turn left. Follow to Vermont Avenue, turn left. Turn right on ME-222. At the sign Orono/Houlton/Union St (ME-222)/ Airport/Ohio St., turn left on I-95 until Aroostook. At the sign Island Falls, exit 59, follow ME-159 east to the city center of Island Falls. Pass the Post Office and go straight to Route 2 East. Turn right after the gas station, May Mountain Variety, onto Pond Road-South Road. Follow to Walker Settlement Road and turn right. Follow to Dow Farm Road and turn right. Go up the hill and the resort will be on the left.
