This historic bed and breakfast inn reflects the grace and beauty of the mid-Victorian time. The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, cheerful and interesting with its wealth of period wallpapers - designed to take guests away from the sameness of many modern homes. This 1864 Victorian estate was renovated to fit the time period of the era. It is situated in a quiet town where guests can walk to the waterfront to enjoy a day on the beach or choose to relax by the fireplace in the inn. The morning full-breakfast buffet gets rave reviews. Guests can choose to eat family style in the formal dining room, on the terrace, the breakfast porch, or in their own room. Each afternoon there is a social time from 5-7 PM in the parlor by the fireplace where guests can mingle with one another and get to know each other. Wine, cheese, juice, crackers, and other snacks are served while guests look over the menus for the evening meal. Gather around the piano and have a sing along, chat in the sitting or meeting room, or head out to the garden to see over 1,000 daffodils and to get some fresh air. The Mira Monte Inn will provide relaxation and comfort in beautiful and quiet surroundings. **No breakfast or maid service from 11/1/05-5/5/06.** Each room, named for a popular hotel of the era, has a fireplace and/or balcony and is uniquely styled with antique and period furnishings. Guests can relax in their rooms after a day's adventure and cozy up to the fireplace in their fluffy bathrobes provided by the inn. Catch up on the days events with family and friends in the living/dining area included in every room or guests can relax by themselves in their whirlpool tubs.
